Apostille

It is a different process from notarization, and we treat it as such.

Who issues it

The apostille is issued by a government authority, not by ReaNotary. We can manage it, but that does not make us the issuer.

Why it is kept separate

  • The notarial fee is never mixed with government fees or shipping.
  • It requires physical custody of the original document, with every handoff logged.
  • It has its own timeline, which depends on the authority and not on us.

Which countries are in the Convention

This reference distinguishes countries where the Apostille Convention is in force with the United States from countries outside it. The current HCCH table lists no outstanding United States objection to a contracting party.
