What happens during the appointment

Before you start, have ready

  • Your complete document, with no blank spaces, as a PDF.
  • A valid government photo ID.
  • A device with camera and microphone, and a stable connection.
  • The name of whoever will receive the document.

What happens during the appointment

  • You and the notary see and hear each other throughout the act, without interruption.
  • The complete act is recorded. It is not optional: the state rule requires it.
  • You sign the exact version you reviewed, not the latest one uploaded.
  • The seal is applied by the notary, never by an automatic process.

What you get at the end

  • The notarized document.
  • A code so the recipient can check that nobody altered it.
  • The receipt, with each item listed separately.
